2024學年「設計原理應用之藝術瓷磚：幾何圖案與生態紋樣的結合」短期課程回顧

4月15日 至 4月26日，英國國王基金會傳統藝術學院中國中心的學員們在傳統藝術學院導師弩欣·沙斐依的指導下，完成了為期兩周的傳統藝術課程「設計原理應用之藝術瓷磚：幾何圖案與生態紋樣的結合」這一單元的學習。

The module “Design Principles Applied to Ceramic Tiles: The Marriage of Geometry and Biomorph”was delivered by Nooshin Shafiei from the King's Foundation School of Traditional Arts at Yuan Centre on 15 - 26 April.

本課程通過理論和實踐引導學員們學習手繪瓷磚的工藝，了解以伊茲尼克風格的生物紋樣為主題的表現形式，體會幾何秩序在花卉紋樣應用時的重要作用。鼓勵學員們從實踐中領會如何將紋樣設計在瓷磚等媒介上以繪畫形式得以最終呈現。

The main objective of the module was introducing students to experience the expressions on the design motifs and patterns on traditional ceramic craft, influenced by not only the Chinese cultures, but also the geometric order that structures and proportions the application of floral motifs. Students were also encouraged to learn how to transfer, paint, and present design motifs onto ceramic forms such as tiles.

在實踐過程中，學員們參與了實際的陶瓷工藝，包括上釉和燒窯。他們通過每日大量練習不斷精進陶瓷繪畫技巧，在作品繪製的過程中逐步掌握陶瓷材料的屬性、繪製流程、不同技法的操作，並通過各自大量的作品對比逐漸看到自己在實踐過程中體現的優點及欠缺，使作品在新的實踐中得以提高。

Through practicing, students engaged with practical ceramics processes including the application of glazes and kiln firings. Their painting skills were developed through massive daily practice, knowledge of characters of materials and painting techniques were gradually gained from various of works. Students also explored the advantages and places to be developed on their works through regular reviews, new development could be found in new practice.
